Update On The Addition....The House This Time

Things on the home front continue to roll along.I talked to my mom yesterday and she said that they have put the walls up and the plywood for the roof on the new part of the house.She said now it is starting to look like a house.This is nice to hear.

We talked to the bank on Wednesday about getting the next round of money.The lady who actually set up our new mortgage is the one who does the inspection's,so she was there right away on Thursday morning checking out the house.She called my mother-in-laws, left a message saying that she applied for the next round of money and we should hear from her in about 4 days as to how much we can get.

The thing with the next sum of money is that we need to try to divide it among the people we owe money too.We still owe the electrician $600 and Home Hardware $220.Also we shelled out about $2000 of our own money, which we need to get back really bad since my wife has no income coming in right now.It could be anywhere from 14-28 days before she gets her first payment.Not an ideal situation when we have a bigger mortgage to pay and my peanut sized income just won't cut it on its own.

We did manage to bank a few dollars,but that took a hit when we had to pay $2000 out of our pocket when this thing started.That's why if we can even get half of that back, that would help a lot!The furnace guys also need to be paid once they do their thing,but they might have to wait until the next round of money.Of course this is depending on how much we even get.At this point I am not counting on us getting anything back of the money we spent, but as long as everyone else is paid that's good.I hate having bills unpaid.

That brings you as up to date as I can get you.The pictures will follow as soon as I get home on Sunday.I am told my brother is going to do the wiring next week on his days off and they should be able to tie the new part of the house into the old part.The windows and siding, I am not too sure when they will be in or when the gas guys will be able to come in and do their thing.

So next week I will be back home in the thick of the action, as I am sure my mom will be glad to get off picture duty.
